BMW HP2 Sport High Performance with 2D GP dashboard
The engine of the new HP2 Sport is truly a masterpiece of engineering. The raw numbers are enough to leave you in no doubt – this is a power unit that is built with absolute performance in mind. It develops 133 horsepower (98 kW) at 8,750 rpm, and while its maximum torque of 115 Nm is produced at 6,000 rpm, the boxer engine will rev all the way up to 9,500 rpm. The HP2 Sport also features all-new cylinder heads, with cam follower valve lifts attached to double overhead Camshafts on each cylinder. There are four radial valves on each cylinder, with valve plate diameters of 39 millimetres at the inflow and 33 millimetres at the outflow. Other modifications such as airflow-optimized intake and exhaust ports, new forged pistons and redesigned connecting rods also contribute to the outstanding performance.
