Managing daily server are complex task for every webmaster. That’s why you’ll need help from good control panel software to manage your server. I must admit that Cpanel control panel is the best non free control panel, their costumer service staff are helpful and skilled.
They will help you if you got problem with your Cpanel control panel. But Cpanel/WHM is not cheap for webmaster who only host one or two domain on their server, Cpanel/WHM is perfect best control panel for webhosting company who host hundreds or thousands domain at his server.
If you only host one/two domain you’ll need alternative control panel beside Cpanel/WHM.
This alternative control panel must meet the following criteria:
- Easy to use
- Friendly interface
- had complete feature
- Free
And my choice goes to Webmin!
Yeah, Webmin is the best free server control panel, they meet all my criteria to manage my daily server. Easy to use just like cpanel, very helpful if you just move from cpanel to webmin.
I need 4 days to learn how webmin work after using cpanel for 2 years with trial and error of course that’s what I need to learn something
And the more important things are webmin/virtualmin had nginx support. You can host website powered by nginx in virtualmin box. note: virtualmin is cpanel while webmin is WHM, it’s rather complicated to explain but it’s working. Full nginx powered not as reverse proxy for apache.
